Omaha Zoo

This weekend we went to the Omaha Zoo with the Ministries Club. It was a fun afternoon and nice weekend. Uncle Kenny was here this weekend and we had some fun cousin/uncle time with all of us here in Lincoln. I had to take a unit test on Sunday, another one on Monday and a 4 chapter unit exam yesterday along with several papers, reports, and 13 lesson plans. At the moment I'm running on less than 5 hours of sleep but the rest of the weeks looks comparatively relaxing! :) I'm hoping to use the rest of this week and the weekend to recover and get ready for finals next week!

(the point of this picture was the sign but it's kinda hard to read, it says, "DO NOT WALK ON BRIDGE")

Gymnairs Homeshow 2010

Tonight was our homeshow, final performance of the year. It was a fun night and moves went well; three of my main moves that allways stress me out... all hit :), my hand-to-hand, chairs routine, and my back-tuck! It's been a great and one-of-a-kind experience to be a part of the Union College Gymnastics team and I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to be a gymnair!

two shots of my back tuck, right as I'm starting to throw it and then right before I land. :) Flying through the air... even upside-down is so much fun when you know your teammates are there to give you a nice soft cradle to land in!
Acts 11:23 (NIV)
When he arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.
(for worship tonight coach read a Bible verse for each of us that he said reminded him of us... This was mine and he said that it reminded him of me because he can see the "evidence of God in my life" and that "it shines out of me" :) Praise God! I felt very honored)

Ministries Club Spring Retreat Campout

We had a camp out last night with the ministries club and IRR club, it was so much fun to get back outside! When spring rolls around it's so exciting to soak up some sun and great outdoors! This retreat was a real treat! It came at the perfect time to ease some of the "spring fever" that has been going around lately! We had a nice evening around the campfire last night and a special worship today. After dinner I got a nice nap in the sun and a nice little sunburn!

Gymnairs Tour to Dakota Adventist Academy

We are back from North Dakota! It was an absolutely fantastic trip!! It was so much fun to see my family (which consists of about 80+ people when I'm at DAA with my school "family" :) ) and spend the weekend with so many people I LOVE to be with! I got to hang around the Acrolight's practice Friday afternoon and help them out by filling in a few of my old spots from last year!! Performing for the home crowd last night was thrilling! I LOVE YOU DAA!
This is how I spent MOST of the trip, Tara got this picture during one of my many hours of sleep in the van. I used the trip to catch up on sleep, last week I was over my head in exams, tests, and homework of all sorts, I got almost 4 hours of sleep Wednesday night, and excluding van hours I slept 2 hours Thursday night!

Seth and I did the chairs, this is our balance press, we came out in our Union warm up jackets and after the first press revealed our DAA roots with our old uniforms! (the crowd liked seeing thier uniforms too!)
It was so much fun to have my family around! They came to the clinics and then got to show some things in our participation part. You guys are amazing!! Miss you tons! only ONE MONTH till I'm home!
I based Valentina and Candace in our introduction move.
This is a picture of our chairs routine at Campion, I think we stacked it a little different, it was a little higher there ( I think Seth forgot how we usually stack them last night! :P ).
