December - Where has 2010 gone!?

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!! I've been enjoying Christmast break to the fullest!! Fun in the snow, family, friends, painting my room, and way, way, way too much GOOD FOOD :) Tomorrow I leave to go Snowboarding in the black hills and then off to Baltimore, MD! :) I will keep you updated along the way :) God Bless!

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving!! I am so thankful for break and the chance to be home with family and friends! We left Lincoln on Friday right after I finished an unappreciated Chemistry test and have been basking in the joy of no school ever since. I have a few pictures to walk you through break so far, sorry I haven't posted in so long, but I will try to do better and share more pictures real soon!

I got to bring one of my good friends Kayla home with me since she wasn't going to be able to go to her home for thanksgiving. It's been a blast having her here!!

Mindy has a fun little app on her ipod called "old booth" and it's fun to jump into a time machine and try on some "oldies hair-doos"

Mindy got a new camera just like mine and has been taking some great pitures, so I got to be on the other side of one of our little photo-shoots for the first time!!

Yesterday we braved the cold and I got to take Chris and Chelsea's engagement pictures!! had a ton of fun and will share some more when I finish them.

Education Trip

We're in Valentine, NE on a field trip for one of my education classes.

We're teaching at Rosebud elementary school; it has been a blast! I don't have enough sides because half my kindergarten class wants to sit beside me at lunch!! ..... And being called "Teacher!" .....priceless!

Several of my classmates were VERY excited to add SD to their list of states visited... I took the picture for them because... well the welcome to SD sign isn't such a rare sight to me. :p

Union Moments

This weekend we had the annual ASB dodge ball event... not only do you come to play dodge ball, there is a little costume contest as well, this year my team decided to dress up like Dr. Seuss's "thing 1 and thing 2" except we added "a few things" for a team of 5 things....

...and won $100 in the costume contest!

Roommate and I take college algebra together,

.... and when our answers don't match... out comes the marker board for some SERIOUS math!

A lot of food crosses my desk! ;) Mmmm "dorm-made" chili and a free Panera bread bowl!
It's been tons of fun so far and yet the fun has just begun!

ASB Handshake 2010

Last night we had the first ASB event of the year "ASB by the Sea" we entered the sandcastle competition, and Becca and I won first place ($50!!) in the handshake competition!

End of Summer! :(

The last few weeks of summer at home consisted of Pathfinder Camp, Vacation Bible School, and the beginning of harvest! Now I'm back at Union College in Lincoln, NE! I am a Resident's Assistant (RA) in the dorm this year. Sorry I have not posted in so long! this last month+ has been nice and busy! I'll try to keep up better with the events of this school year! Independence Day

We had a nice fourth of July :)

Mom and Dad cut road ditches for most of the day, then we went to Eureka to enjoy the evening. We had a picnic in the park and waited for the fireworks; a nice display for a small town!
