AZ Adentures :)

Lots of pictures tonight! Hope I don't overwhelm you... but I had two days worth of pictures and had a hard time thinning them out!

Sedona Red Rock

How'd you like a house like this!?! It was incredible! notice the built in 4-stall garage and the gazebo (kinda behind the tree) in their own personal "pond"

Montezuma Castle

Spring Break - Phoenix AZ

In the plane :) When we met Grandpa and Janet at the airport (grandpa forgot to smile but when I asked him if he wanted to try again he just said, "no, it just gets worse" ;) hehe ).
Wetting our toes :-)
Basking in the sun... ahh... so relaxing....
...that is until the sprinklers so rudely (and unexpectedly!) made an appearance!

Mmmm smoothies! (notice the pretty trees in the background! ;) )

Downtown we stumbled upon none other than the Wells Fargo History Museum! Random? Yes. Good pictures? Yes again!
Would you like to send a telegraph?? :)

... or make a phone call??
...need a ride??
... We're good drivers!! Promise!

Having a blast so far!! Even noticed little sun-lines on my arms already this evening! :) Tomorrow morning we're climbing The Mountain!

They (ours) were SO YUMMY!! Mmmmmm! beans, a hard shell, lettuce, peppers, olives, tomatoes, and dressing all wrapped up in a delicious burrito shell, then lightly fried.... Mmmmm!!

Secend Semester...

...is in full swing! Well, we've been back for a full week and already enjoyed a long weekend. The holiday Monday was very much needed already though! I have a presentation and paper with 10 sources due in less than a week and enough projects, other papers, reading, and assignments to keep me more than busy!

We had a great weekend and yesterday marked 3 weeks!! Half done... 3 more weeks for a total of 6 and the cast will be ready to come off! Having only one fully functional arm has made school interesting so far, let's just say it adds an extra challenge ;) ( I am ready for it to be off now.... so we'll just see if I make it 3 more weeks! ).

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

The Rest of the Story

I'm not a medical person, but from what they told me I can make a little sense of these

She came in and said, "you broke your wrist!" then explained that the radius (thumb side bone) was fractured and the ulna (smaller bone on the right) had a compression fracture.
So as far as I can tell, the dark lines you can see there are the fractures (or breaks) and the compression fracture of the ulna is why it is so far away from the rest of the wrist bones. With all the swelling my wrist looked pretty interesting. The snowboarding fall itself wasn't that bad, just shouldn't have reached back to catch myself!

We got to take a quick tour of the GC and DC right away when we got there, thanks to Uncle Kenny our personal tour guide!

The trip home...

Dakota wildlife in Maryland!

When we took this picture we had no idea how much time we'd be spending in Pennsylvania! ...

The car broke down, ended up spending about 24 hours in Washington, PA and 8 hours at an outdoor mall while waiting for the car.

Might have been faster to catch a ride with Garfield!

We found some ways to pass the time.

4+ hours in the food court

Monday night, finally on the road again we decided to have a nice meal in Columbus, OH.
You know you're back in the mid-west, and getting closer to home when the rest areas are shaped like a barn and silo! It was a GREAT week, but so good to be home! Now, about 4 days to rest up and then it's back to school!
