Changes

So here's an update on what's been happening in my life this past week or so. We left for Oshkosh, WI last Monday morning before 6:00am and with about an hour stop at the mall of America, got to Oshkosh a little before 7:00pm. Our time in Oshkosh was filled with all kinds of Pathfinder activities. Pin trading was one of the biggest pass times, we brought ND and other fun pins left with beautiful souvenir pins from other states and countries. After a FULL week we left Oshkosh around midnight Saturday night Headed for Lincoln, NE and Union college. Mom took the first shift and I took over at 3:00, I let her drive again at 5:00 and around 7:00 she decided to pull over and sleep with me for awhile instead of waking me up. An our and a half later we took off again and split the rest of the way to Lincoln. We got here right at noon and got checked in. There were some heaven sent guys waiting around to help unload and by the time I let each of them carry something to my room (on 3rd floor) I was left with only my purse to carry to my room! Yesterday was full of registration lines and buying expensive books although I did get by with a much cheaper book load than most! I would have been so completely lost in registration without my wonderful mother! She's AMAZING!! My family left for home at about 3:00 yesterday afternoon. This morning at 8:30 I had my first class and LOVED it!! I am super excited about being a teacher and so fall college life is treating me great! I have to go now, so I PROMISE I will share LOTS of pictures later!

Camping!

We're here at Oshkosh, WI at the 2009 international Pathfinder camporee, I get 10 min. on the computer so I thought I'd post a little update, I can't do pictures right now but I promise there will be some comming! The evening meetings have been absolutly amazing, the fact that there are 35,000 people makes it an expericence in it's self! We are having loads of fun with the random games, honors, pin-trading, making new friends and wondering through the booths and displays. That's about all for now but I thought I'd send you a post from right here at the camporee!

Gymnastics

We're getting closer and closer to ready to go! the suberban is almost packed and my room and stuff is slowly getting ready I can't believe how fast summer slipped away!

I was going through stuff on my computer the other day and found some pictures and videos from our gymnastics home-show this year. I just had to smile, and evev laugh at some things while I watched it. I enjoy gymnasics VERY MUCH and will miss my teammates SO MUCH!! We did lots of cool things this year but my biggest accopmlishment would have to be my back-tuck in our tossing sequences. There was something about throwing yourself backward when you're tossed into the air that made me a little nervous at first! But I had total trust in my bases, even after scaring myself and comming down wrong several times they ALWAYS caught me and I wasn't afraid to try again because I knew they'd be there! I've been working hard this summer and hope to make it onto the Union College Gymnairs team. Every time I watch the videos of us Acrolights I get a happy proud feeling! I love my team! Go Acrolights!! YAY!

Lehr Vacation Bible School 2009

This year our theme for Vacation Bible School was "God's Word is Like a Treasure Chest" and our main craft this year was a wooden treasure box. God Blessed BIG with 43 Children to minister to and a wonderful week of Christ centered fun and learning. Here's some of the action I was able to capture!

The Bible story skit of Lazarus!

Mindy and Jody

Can you believe those little sisters of mine are 14! It's truly scary especially when you consider the fact that one of my gifts for them was a "rules of the road" book! Now that they are ancient 14 year-olds and think that having a permit in their possesion is an absolute nessessity (I can't say I don't remember that feeling) I'd rather be slightly on the safe side and make sure they have the rules of the road down pat! This morning I got a chance to go wake boarding with the Wolfs, Ali took some pictures so maybe I'll get to post some of them sometime. Mom and the rest picked me up at the lake and we went to Lehr for the first night of VBS (again, I'll have some pictures for you soon).
If you're like me and can't believe it was 14 years ago that God blessed me with not one, but two little sisters, drop a comment and wish them a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Since Dutch Blitz has been the new craze ever since I've been home from school ( and my deck is comming with me to Union! ) It seemed like the perfect birthday gift!
